UX and Assessment: Bold Statements & Engaging Conversation on the Role of UX in Library Assessment
Description
Key Topics:
The moderator will introduce the topic, then each panelist will introduce themselves and share a bold statement related to “the value of UX in the assessment world.” The ensuing moderated panel discussion will weave in audience participation using digital response software. Panelists will discuss how and where UX fits into assessment at their institutions, what UX maturity looks like in their organizations, and examples of UX making a positive impact. UX and assessment can be tiring, exhausting, and challenging at times — panelists and audience members will also consider what has helped them remain resilient in pursuing this work.
Learning Objectives
- Attendees will hear perspectives on how UX fits into the larger assessment conversation that may challenge their current perspective or understanding
- Attendees will gain a better understanding of the value of a UX mindset across different types of academic libraries
