Ellie Perkins teaches participatory qualitative research methods, community organizing, and climate justice at York University. Since the 1990s she has directed a number of collaborative research projects with partners in Latin America and Africa, and also worked with community partners in Canada on research ethics, equitable data management, and sharing and mobilizing research results. She has edited three books and published many articles and book chapters on climate justice, participatory watershed management, feminist ecological economics, and academic-community partnerships
