Laura Gariepy directs James Branch Cabell Library’s teaching, research and outreach initiatives for the 28,000 community members on the Monroe Park Campus of Virginia Commonwealth University. She oversees undergraduate and graduate education and outreach; information and research services; resource sharing; emergency planning and response; and the physical spaces of the nationally renowned library. Her research interests focus on assessment in academic libraries, including data privacy issues.
