Dr. Mary-Jo Romaniuk is the Vice Provost of Libraries and Cultural Resources at the University of Calgary, a position she has held since 2018.
MJ is Vice President of the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL). She was Chair of the Chair of the CARL Impact Committee and the Continuing Education Working Group of the CARL Assessment Committee and served on committees and sub-committees for the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) including the former Assessment Committee, the Member Engagement and Outreach Committee and now as Vice Chair of the Intensive Learning Program Task Force. Mary-Jo has been active in IFLA since 2009, currently serving as an officer of the Statistics and Evaluation Section.
MJ has a BComm in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan; an MLIS from San Jose State University; and a PhD from Queensland University of Technology. Her research interests are in assessment, emerging technologies and leadership development.
