Shauntee Burns-Simpson is a progressive librarian with over 15 years of experience in conceptualizing and implementing instructional services across complex and rapidly changing information landscapes. She is currently the Director of Youth and Family Services for District of Columbia’s Public Libraries. She recently served as President of the Black Caucus of the American Librarian Association (BCALA), and also served as a member of the American Library Association's Committee on Diversity. She also served as President of the New York Black Librarians’ Caucus.
