Tamara Nelson (she/her) is the User Services Coordinator and Senior Research & Learning Services Librarian at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She earned both Bachelor of Arts and Master's in Library and Information Science degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Memphis, where her research focuses on the experiences of Black information professionals in higher education leadership roles. Nelson currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Medical Library Association and is an active member of the African American Medical Librarians Alliance Caucus.
