Sally Najera Romero is a senior assistant librarian and Co-Head of the University Library’s Research & Instruction Services unit at California State Polytechnic, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). As the Education Librarian, she focuses and supports the College of Education & Integrative Studies. Sally is a first-generation Latina college graduate who is passionate about supporting her community. She has been involved in various library and campus initiatives that support the education and well-being of a diverse campus community including but not limited to co-founding the University Library’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, participating as a member of the Parenting Student Support Team, and co-founding the campus Parenting Faculty group. Her research interests within higher education include student sense of belonging, Latina/o/x students, parenting students, librarians of color, Latina/o/x librarians, and parenting faculty.
