Matt Vaughn is the Open Publishing Librarian in the Scholarly Communication Department at Indiana University, Bloomington. He supports the IU library’s open access journal publishing program, assisting editorial teams through troubleshooting and consultations. In addition, he provides training and guidance on scholarly communication and publishing best practices to IU staff, students, and faculty through courses, workshops, and through the development of user guides and documentation. Matt’s current research interests include JATS XML publishing workflows, library content accessibility, and publishing equity and best practices. He is a member of the Library Publishing Coalition’s Professional Development Committee where he focuses on helping members create effective documentation for their publishing initiatives.
