Hannah (she, her, hers) is a Research & Instruction Librarian at Queen’s University Library (QUL) in Kingston, Ontario, with subject responsibilities for Indigenous Studies, Black Studies, Gender Studies, Cultural Studies, French Studies, Languages, and Linguistics. From 2022 to 2023, she held a two-year term as a member of CARL's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Working Group. Hannah actively engages in diversity and inclusion initiatives in her role. Most recently, she co-facilitated an open meeting to discuss women and leadership in libraries as a member of the Ontario College and University Library Association’s EDI Community of Practice. Additionally, she played a key role in introducing a harmful language statement at QUL that acknowledges harmful and insensitive language in the catalogue. This statement also affirms the institution's commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful environment.
