Audra Eagle Yun is Head of Special Collections & Archives and University Archivist at the University of California, Irvine. She served as co-lead for the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) funded research grant “Transforming Knowledge, Transforming Libraries” and is co-lead for the Mellon Foundation funded grant project “Community-Centered Archives Practice: Transforming Education, Archives, and Community History.” She was the editor of Archival Accessioning (SAA, 2021) and is part of an IMLS funded working group to develop national best practices for archival accessioning in the United States. She is co-editor of Selecting and Appraising Archives and Manuscripts (forthcoming SAA, 2024) and a special issue of the American Archivist focused on archival accessioning (forthcoming, 2025). Audra is on the steering committee for the Archives Leadership Institute (ALI) at the University of Virginia (2024 – 2026) and an alumnus of the ALI 2013 cohort. She has been a member of the Society of American Archivists since 2008 and was elected to serve on the SAA Council from 2017 to 2020. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree with a specialization in archival studies (with a portfolio thesis on community archives) from UCLA.
