Thomas L. Dickens serves as the Assistant Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and Chief Diversity Officer for The Ohio State University Libraries. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Elmhurst College and a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut. In his current role, Thomas leads transformative EDI efforts within the Libraries, driving sustained action and cultural change. As a senior leader, he actively contributes to organizational planning, evaluation, and resource allocation decisions. Collaborating closely with the Office of Human Resources and the Office of Academic Affairs, Thomas is dedicated to advancing the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce, while fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment for all Libraries' employees. His commitment to creating an atmosphere of inclusivity extends throughout the organization, as he strives to enhance the professional growth and wellbeing of all individuals.
