Victor Jones Jr. (he/him) serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) for the University Library at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he provides leadership and insight to foster a workplace culture that supports all aspects of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in its collections, hiring, and engagement endeavors. Prior to joining the library, Victor served as a graduate recruiter for the School of Information Sciences at the University at Illinois Urbana-Champaign for nearly 7 years. Victor’s approach to leadership in all areas are characterized by authenticity, empathy, collaboration, and uplift.
