Dr. Natalie Martiniello is a university lecturer in the Visual Impairment Rehabilitation program at the University of Montreal and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Concordia University. She worked previously as a blindness rehabilitation specialist, where she provided braille and assistive technology instruction to blind and low vision learners of all ages, from young children to older adults. Her scholarship centers on accessibility, inclusion and visual impairment, especially as this relates to braille and access to information. She is the Immediate Past-President of Braille Literacy Canada and the Chair of Research for the International Council on English Braille. Natalie also brings lived experience as a blind individual who has used braille and other access technologies throughout her life.
