Location: University of Toronto
Description: Each tour will have 3 parts. It will include the two library spaces (the main Library and the BRIDGE Library & Finance Lab) and an optional walk to the Valley using the accessible pathway. The tour will be focused on how the Library partners with the campus gallery to use art to make the library feel like a welcoming space. This will be followed by a group lunch featuring some Scarborough food.
Date/Time: Thursday, July 18. Tour begins at 11:30 a.m. Tour participants will be split into 3 groups and lunch will be provided. Dietary restrictions and accommodations were given to U of T staff from the information provided during registration.
Transportation: UofT Scarborough is approx. 1 hour drive from the Sheraton Centre Hotel and 1 hour 15min by public transit.
Public Transit Recommendations: GO Train from Union Station to Eglinton GO. 1 905A Eglinton East Express to Conlins via U of T Scarborough. Short walk from the transit loop to the Library which is located in ARC
We are asking participants to arrive by 11:15 a.m.
Accessibility: The campus and library is accessible as is the valley trail but there will be approximately 1 hour of walking. There is also an emphasis on the visual elements of the library.
